'Cause who doesn't love a good Michael Jackson meme? If you don't, get the hell off my page. Just kidding . . . mostly.
Yes I'm back and ready to shake this blog back into shape! Considering I haven't posted anything since last September, it kinda makes you wonder why the long hiatus. Well, rather than a boring explanation I'll just give you a few words . . .
Let's see . . . did I forget anything? Nah, I think I got it all. It's been a very busy six months--the biggest being the pregnancy. As you'd expect, it's quite a life changer. A life changer that we'd waited for for five years before deciding that maybe now wasn't the time to get pregnant but we all know what they say--just when you give up trying that's when it happens well . . . guess what folks, that's exactly how it happened to the hubby and I. Our situation at the moment isn't ideal but we're determined to make it work best we can.
The holidays were pretty crazy, considering between the Husband and I, we have six families, it makes it pretty hard to get anything done during that time period.
Moving is never fun. Moving while under he news of a baby coming was not what we had planned and probably shouldn't have done in light of the newcomer to our family but we'd already cancelled the lease and set the ball moving so the only thing we had left to do was go through with it and hope for the best. Although, our move seemed to be convenient at the time, it's turned out to be a major stress factor for the Husband and I. But like with all the punches that have been thrown our way during our 9 year relationship, you gotta roll with them or land on your ass--and let me assure you, we've landed on our ass a few times in the last six months but our dodge skill has been growing slowly but surely.
And I lost my job. Having just moved, a baby on the way and needed steady income, me losing my job was most definitely not the greatest thing that could have happened to us but it is what it is and we're working through the issue. We've made it work for now but we are hoping something falls in our laps here soon.
Life is a roller coaster and we just hit the free-fall portion of the ride--the part where your stomach jumps up your throat and a scream erupts from your throat and you hold on to the bar and wait for it to be over. Once this ride is over, I'd like to get on the merry-go-round for awhile before getting on the next topsy-turvy but we'll get there. I'm staying positive because the negative is just too awful to think about. I hope you are all doing well and have been staying positive as well. I'll be seeing you more from now on. Peace.
